About

Emily Paster practiced appellate law in the Appeals and Constitutional Issues Division of the City of Chicago Law Department for five years. During that time, she wrote briefs on matters ranging from torts to civil rights to employment discrimination and appeared before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Illinois Appellate Court numerous times. Prior to joining the Law Department, Emily served as a law clerk for the Honorable Diana Gribbon Motz of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and for the Honorable T.S. Ellis III of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Emily graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as a Note Editor on the Michigan Law Review. Emily graduated from Princeton University where she majored in French with a minor in Women's Studies.
