Michele Casey is an Assistant Attorney General for the Office of the Illinois Attorney General’s Consumer Fraud Bureau. Prior to starting with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, Michele was an associate attorney at Wexler Wallace LLP, a boutique class action firm, and an associate attorney in the Financial and Securities Litigation Group at Sidley Austin LLP. Michele is a former law clerk to the Honorable Terence T. Evans of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. She is the co-author of Using Accountants as Experts, published in the Course Handbook for the Practicing Law Institute’s CLE program “Basics of Accounting for Lawyers 2009: What Every Practicing Lawyer Needs to Know”.
