Sylvia Hargreaves

 

Biography
After completing her doctorate in Comparative Law at Jesus College, Cambridge, Professor Hargreaves qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, subsequently practising as a company/commercial lawyer. She is currently Principal Lecturer at Nottingham Law School, UK, specialising in European Union Law and Competition Law. Here, she has designed and taught on programmes both for the academic and professional stages of legal training, including the Bar Vocational Course, and has taught European Community Competition Law for professional post-qualification courses. She has written and lectured in her areas of expertise both in the UK and abroad. Her publications include a co-authored book on European Union Law published by Oxford University Press, now well-established and in its fourth edition.
