LaShonda A. Hunt

 

Biography
LaShonda A. Hunt currently serves as an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorneys' Office. In that capacity, she represents the United States in civil litigation arising under various federal laws, including Title VII, the Rehabilitation Act, the Federal Tort Claims Act, the False Claims Act and immigration matters. Her duties include developing litigation strategy, investigating claims, conducting written and oral discovery, drafting pleadings, trying cases, negotiating settlements and handling appeals. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorneys' Office, she clerked for the Honorable William J. Hibbler in the Northern District of Illinois, served as a staff attorney for the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and worked at a law firm as an associate attorney in general litigation/labor and employment.
