Janet Siegel

 

Biography
Janet Siegel is a law clerk to Magistrate Judge Sheila Finnegan of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She previously worked as a senior counsel in the Illinois Office of the Comptroller, a litigation associate at Seyfarth Shaw LLP, and a staff law clerk to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Before relocating to Chicago, Janet served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York where she concentrated on environmental and land use litigation. As a law student, Janet served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the NYU Environmental Law Journal. Prior to attending law school, she worked in non-profit development for several environmental and health-related organizations in California.
