Bettina Jerome

 

Biography
Bettina Jerome is a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Mary Jane Theis of the First District Illinois Appellate Court. In that capacity, she assists in researching, drafting, and editing judicial opinions and orders in all areas of criminal and civil appellate practice. Prior to her clerkship for Justice Theis, Ms. Jerome worked as a Research Staff Attorney at the First District Illinois Appellate Court. In law school, Ms. Jerome was awarded the Michael Shabat Appellate Advocacy Fellowship, served as a Lead Articles Editor of the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal, and tutored Legal Writing. She also externed for the Honorable Blanche Manning of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, interned at the Office of the State Appellate Defender, and served as a law clerk to the Appeals Division of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission.
