Andrianna D. Kastanek

 

Biography
Andrianna D. Kastanek is an associate at Sidley Austin LLP. Her practice focuses on appellate litigation and general commercial litigation, including briefing critical motions in trial courts. Prior to joining Sidley Austin LLP, Ms. Kastanek served as a law clerk to Justice Anthony M. Kennedy of the United States Supreme Court and Judge Kenneth F. Ripple of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

She received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, where she served as Special Sections Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review, received the 2005 Wigmore Prize for Legal Scholarship for academic student writing, and was awarded the National Burton Award for Legal Achievement. She received her B.A. in American Studies from Northwestern University, where she was a senior member of the national championship Northwestern Debate Team and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

She is the author of The Case-or-Controversy Requirement, the Settlement Class Action, and the Nature of the Adjudicatory Process, 73 U. CHI. L. REV. 545 (2006) (with Martin H. Redish).
