James A. Langenfeld
Biography
James A. Langenfeld is currently a Senior Fellow at the American Antitrust Institute. He was Director for Antitrust in the Bureau of Economics of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission for almost six years where, among other things, he co-authored the 1992 Horizontal Merger Guidelines; he was awarded the Federal Trade Commission Distinguished Service Award. Prior to that, he had been Senior Economist at General Motors Corporations. He has taught economics at Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Missouri at St. Louis.
