Margaret H. McCormick

 

Biography
Margaret H. McCormick has practiced in the area of immigration law ever since earning her law degree. She initially practiced with Traveler's and Immigrant's Aid, until she began her own practice in 1980. She has spoken and written extensively about immigration law. In 1997-98, she served as the national President of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, a national bar association of over 5,000 immigration lawyers and professors. In 1990, Mayor Richard M. Daley appointed her to the Advisory Council on Immigrant and Refugee Affairs for the Chicago Commission on Human Relations. In 1994 she joined the Mayor's Council on Citizenship Assistance.
