Genevieve Pope

 

Biography
Genevieve Pope is a staff law clerk for the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals where she works on criminal and civil appeals raising a variety of issues, including sentencing, civil rights, employment discrimination, and immigration. Prior to her clerkship Genevieve was an associate in Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP's litigation group, where she drafted appellate briefs for New York and federal courts of appeal on topics including freedom of speech, evidentiary standards, and jurisdiction. During law school, Genevieve worked as a summer associate at Debevoise and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, LLP; coordinated a clinic at a soup kitchen for Research, Education, and Advocacy to Combat Homelessness (R.E.A.C.H.); and served as a Managing Editor of the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics.
