Important Information for Part-time Faculty: Videotaping

What if I want to have my class videotaped?

The Law School is equipped with a full range of modern audio- visual equipment to assist you in your teaching. Every classroom is outfitted with at least one remote controlled mounted camera which permits us to videotape presentations in several rooms at the same time. State-of-the- art video projectors, capable of projecting computer images and videos are mounted in Rooms 110, 240, 260, 324, and 354. They are operated by new hot podiums in the front of those rooms. Basic equipment such as slide projectors, overhead projectors, audio tape recorders and playback units are also available.

Please contact the Law School Media department at LawMediaServices@luc.edu for your media equipment needs. Media equipment must be ordered at least 48 hours in advance of your class.

What if a student wants to have my class videotaped?

Taping should be done for the convenience of the teacher, not the students. Students have no right to demand that you tape a class for them. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the Law School's taping policy.
