Lisa Southerland
Biography
Lisa is an attorney in the Conflicts Department at Winston & Strawn LLP. In this capacity, she identifies and analyzes potential conflicts of interest for both new business and attorney hires. She also writes and maintains the training documents for the Conflicts Department. Previously, she was an Assistant Appellate Defender in the Office of the State Appellate Defender, representing indigent criminal defendants in the 1st District Appellate Court and the Illinois Supreme Court. Lisa's first legal job was as a Staff Attorney at the Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago, practicing in the areas of housing, domestic relations, bankruptcy, and child protection, among others.
