Biography

William C. Herbert has a broad background in civil litigation, representing clients in jury trials, bench trials, administrative proceedings and estate proceedings. He has represented clients in court proceedings in Illinois, New York City, Los Angeles, Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas.

His cases addressed issues in many substantive areas, including commercial relations (contract and fraud), insurance insolvency, reinsurance coverage, ERISA, insurance guaranty association coverage, accounting standards, energy regulation, media law, RICO and antitrust.

He was a litigation training partner for more than 15 years with Hopkins & Sutter and subsequently with Foley & Lardner LLP.
