Loyola's Thomas Tang Moot Court Team Wins National Championship

November 19, 2007 - Huda Krad and Caroline Kwak won the Thomas Tang National Moot Court Competition by defeating the University of California Hastings College of Law in the final round of the competition held November 15-17, in Las Vegas. Huda Krad also won the Best Oralist Award.
Each year two teams from six regions across the country advance to the national level of the Thomas Tang competition. Loyola has won the national competition nine times in the past fifteen years.
Loyola Thomas Tang team members Animesh Ravani and Michael Yuan also advanced to the National Competition.
In the Thomas Tang central region competition held in Milwaukee in October, Loyola's two teams swept the competition, winning the Regional Championship, Regional Runner-up, Best Oralist, and Second-best Oralist awards. The two Loyola teams also tied each other for best brief.
