BNA - Custom Email Signup Form
Law School students and faculty may use this form to sign up for email updates on BNA electronic products within the Law Library's collection. Updates are available for the Antitrust and Trade Regulation Report, the Criminal Law Reporter, the Family Law Reporter, the International Trade Reporter, the Patent Trademark and Copyright Journal, the Securities Regulation and Law Report, and several publications within BNA's Labor & Employment Law collection. Most updates are emailed on a weekly basis.
AudioCaseFiles is a unique study aid that provides downloadable audio files of digitally recorded case opinions and summaries. Cases commonly covered in first year law school courses are the initial focus of the database, but material relevant to some upper level courses is also available. Search for cases by name, by topic, or by casebook. You must register for your own login credentials by using your LUC email address.

CCH's Tax Service is an Internet-based research network that contains tax news and articles and analysis of tax issues. Primary federal and state tax law materials, including the Internal Revenue Code, case law, and regulatory information, are available, as are extra tax tools such as rate tables and topical "quick answer charts."
CCH's Business Service is an Internet-based research system containing many specialized CCH loose-leaf titles relevant to business and securities research. Federal and state securities, banking, trade regulation, government contracts, intellectual property, transportation, and products liability and safety are among the topics covered. CIAO (Columbia International Affairs Online)
CIAO (Columbia International Affairs Online) is a scholarly source for theoretical and practical research into issues involved in international affairs. Materials in the database date from 1991 onward and include working papers, NGO paper series, conference proceedings, research projects, case studies, books, journals and policy briefs. CIAO, which is updated on a monthly basis, also contains links to related information sources, such as maps and nation-specific information and a schedule of scholarly events.

Kluwer Arbitration is a searchable database of International Commercial Arbitration materials. It is accessible through the Law Library's subscription to the CCH Business Service (see above), within the "International Business" tab of that service. Materials in the database include legislation, conventions, case law, rules, commentary, and lists of bilateral investment treaties (BITs). Materials are organized by type and by country. A newsletter, listing of events, and directory of arbitration organizations are also available.
LegalTrac is an online index for Anglo-American law review and journal articles published in major legal periodicals and related publications between 1980 and the present. Citations, with abstracts, to more than 800 legal publications, including legal newspapers and bar association journals, are available. Full-text is generally not included, but is available for a small number of articles. Once you have ascertained the citations for articles relevant to your research, look for the full-text in another database, such as HeinOnline's Law Journal Library, or in print.
LexisNexis is a comprehensive legal research system consisting of innumerable legal and business-related databases, which are fully searchable. Primary and secondary materials, including case law, statutes, administrative materials, treatises and more are included. Consult the online directory for a complete list of holdings. Current Law School students and faculty are assigned individual passwords for legal research for educational purposes.
LLMC-Digital is an electronic product of the Law Library Microform Consortium (LLMC). The LLMC backfile contains the world's largest collection of government documents and legal literature in microform; LLMC-Digital is an ongoing attempt to convert those documents to an electronic form. Specialty sources within the collection include old federal administrative decisions, federal case law, some presidential papers, state publications, and foreign and international materials. Searching capabilities are limited.
LoisLaw is full-text legal research database containing U.S. federal and state case law, news and business-related sources. Registration is required in order to obtain a password for access. SmartBooks is a searchable, online version of publications by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE). WorldCat, a database within the OCLC FirstSearch collection of research databases, is a catalog of library holdings in libraries around the world.
