This concise guide includes an introduction to the Chinese legal system and identifies official sources of Chinese law.  Links to online sources of law as well as to a number of other research guides are included.

The Asian Legal Information Institute collects links to legal information from many Asian countries including China.  http://asianlii.org/

This is a very comprehensive guide, but somewhat dated (2003).  Some links are broken.  The authors, Joan Liu and Wei Luo, are both academic law librarians.  The historical information is very comprehensive.

Joan Liu also wrote this guide which focuses on online sources.  It includes both Chinese and English language materials.  This guide was prepared in 2005.
