Mission Statement

Loyola University Chicago School of Law Library is a student and faculty oriented research center committed to broad access to legal information. The Law Library serves as the primary source of legal information for the entire University community. The library supports the curriculum, research and service interests of the law faculty and students, and helps prepare future members of the legal profession to lead extraordinary lives in service of faith and justice.

Vision Statement

Students and faculty will rely on the law library as their preferred source of information, research assistance and classroom support. Customized services will be provided in person and electronically to the groups served by the library: students, faculty, administrators and alumni. Because of its wide range of services, the law library will be an asset in the recruitment and retention of faculty and students. The law library will have a comprehensive program of support for faculty research, publication and teaching. The library will have an active program of teaching and education for all university users of legal information sources.
