The following SIS Training Sessions are available.  Please email LocusTraining@luc.edu with the dates and times you would like to attend.  A confirmation appointment will be sent to your Groupwise. 

 The LOCUS Training Open Lab is an opportunity for any staff or faculty member to have their questions answered concerning LOCUS usage. No need to reserve time for the open lab, simply show up and get answers to your questions.  Due to the system upgrade to version 9.0, the open labs will not be available until the start of the Fall 2008 term.

LOCUS Basics covers basic navigation and LOCUS concepts.

Course Section Scheduling training covers how to schedule class sections as well as some more complex issues with course scheduling such as labs, writing intensive/honors designations and more.

Academic Records Management Training covers how to work with student contact information, service indicators (holds), viewing unofficial transcripts/transfer credit summaries/test results, work with student groups, view class rosters, student grades, term history and how to assign academic advisors.

SIS Registration Processes covers how to perform various course Overrides, Term Activation, Appointment Times and more. 

WebFOCUS is a reporting program that delivers standardized reports from the Student Information System.  Depending on your department and function you can use WebFOCUS to search student's academic standing, see if a student's registration is blocked, obtain information concerning a student's program/plan, and more.

SIS Graduation Processes Training covers how to enter, deny, withdraw and confer graduation applications as well as how the new feature for students to enter their application impacts LOCUS.
