RIGALI CHAIR APPOINTED
Richard Matland, PhD, has been named the Helen Houlahan Rigali Professor of Political Science. Matland joins Loyola from the University of Houston, where he was an associate professor in political science and professor since 1997. His work crosses several fields, including public policy, comparative politics, and American politics. His research includes the effect of electoral systems on women’s representation in legislatures, school choice programs, policy implementation, and theories of distributive justice.
