Heart Smart: Paul Whelton Recognized by AHA
Loyola University Health System President and CEO Paul Whelton, MB, MD, MSc, has been awarded the American Heart Association's 2007 Population Research Prize for his 20 years of work that answered key questions about the scope and severity of heart and vascular diseases and their risk to populations worldwide.
Making History
Loyola history professor Timothy Gilfoyle's A Pickpocket's Tale: The Underworld of Nineteenth-Century New York won the Kenneth Jackson Award for Best Book in North American Urban History published in 2006.
Moot Court Champs
In 2007, Loyola's mock trial team enjoyed its most successful fall season in six years.
