Loyola Enjoys Record Year for Gifts

Loyola’s growth and momentum are being reflected in an upswing in financial contributions to the University.  During fiscal year 2006, which ended June 30, alumni and friends contributed the largest dollar total of gifts in Loyola’s history.

“It’s been a great year, and shows that our graduates and friends are responding to the many positive leadership changes at Loyola,” says Jonathan Heintzelman, vice president for advancement.

Loyola broke all giving records in three categories:

“As the University’s success continues to grow, with improvements in enrollment, facilities, academics and more, we’re delighted that our alumni are becoming more fully engaged with Loyola,” Heintzelman says.  “Besides showing their support through their gifts, our graduates are increasingly getting involved in alumni clubs, campus events and our President’s Receptions.”

Shena McNamara Keith, Annual Fund director, adds, “Our record year just goes to show that every one of our donors makes a difference.  We thank everyone for their participation; together, it has a huge effect on Loyola’s ability to offer quality education in
the Jesuit tradition.”
