Springfield Lobby Day
Michael J. Garanzini, S.J., Loyola president, gave the opening prayer in the Illinois General Assembly at Springfield Lobby Day. Garanzini and Anthony Barbato, M.D., Loyola University Health System president, were accompanied by Loyola students, faculty and deans in a joint effort to build Loyola’s visibility in Springfield. The contingent met with various state legislators, while students learned about the day-to-day operations of a political office.
