Since 1995, the Ignatian Lay Volunteer Corps (ILVC) has provided men and women age 50 and older the opportunity to serve the needs of the poor, to work for a more just society, and to grow deeper in Christian faith by reflecting and praying in the Ignatian tradition.
The program has grown to encompass more than 200 volunteers in several regional chapters. George Sullivan (BA ‘66) directs the Chicago chapter, which is looking for new members to start this September.
Volunteers work with the poor and marginalized in the greater Chicago area two days weekly, and reflect and pray on that experience in the
