THROUGH AUGUST 26:

David Csicsko: Recent Projects in Stained Glass explores the Chicago-based artist’s designs melding traditional images of saints and scripture with a contemporary urban look.

AUGUST 25 THROUGH NOVEMBER 4:

Painting Ethiopia: The Life and Work of Qes Adamu Tesfaw tells stories about Christianity from an Ethiopian perspective, also examining Ethiopian political and military exploits, laws, and both rural and urban life.

The long-awaited permanent reinstallation of Loyola’s medieval, Renaissance, and baroque collection, Treasures of the Martin D’Arcy Collection, is scheduled for November (date to be announced).

Beauty, natural and manmade

The Loyola University Museum of Art (LUMA) reprised its popular Arts Botanica show in June.  The annual exhibition features Chicago-based painters whose art incorporates flora and foliage. Works are matched with Chicago florists, who create spectacular arrangements based on the original art.
