The Loyola University Chicago Parents’ Association (LUCPA) invites all parents to participate in Loyola events and volunteer opportunities. The Parents’ Leadership Council (PLC) includes dedicated parents from across the country who enhance parent outreach and fuel fundraising initiatives.
“The education of our children is a joint venture that develops future leaders,” says Mary Toman, a PLC member from Oakland, CA.
Some current parent initiatives:
- During June and July orientation sessions, seasoned Loyola parents are participating in the Discover Loyola Parent Panel.
- The PLC will host its first Parents’ Reception on Saturday, July 28, in Southport, CT, at the home of Lee and Anne Colpi (’08 parents).
- The PLC is recruiting class co-chairs: a past parent co-chair and chairs of the 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 classes.
- LUCPA will host its annual Parent Move-In Lounge on Aug. 22 and 23 for parents of freshmen.
- Parents’ Weekend 2007 is set for Sept. 21-23. .
