Chicago International Charter School—Avalon Park Campus

January 21 – March 27, 2011

Second graders from Chicago International Charter School-Avalon Park Campus worked on three art projects. In the first, Healthy Haiku, students created poems and illustrations about healthful eating. Students also completed projects inspired by two paintings by Vincent van Gogh-Bedroom in Arles and Starry Night-using colored pencils and markers. And lastly, the second graders created drawings in styles and on subjects of their choice, such as superheroes and personal academic dreams.
