Lewis Kostiner: Choosing Fatherhood—A Photographic Journey

March 2 – June 16, 2013

In the United States, the absence of fathers from their children’s lives is a social problem directly related to multiple behavioral issues and to high rates of poverty, high school drop-outs, and incarceration. Chicago photographer Lewis Kostiner in his project, Choosing Fatherhood: America’s Second Chance, seeks to explore this problem by creating portraits of fathers who are involved in their children’s lives.
