Handmade in Vietnam
Started to by two social workers who were concerned about improving the lives of street children and single mothers in Ho Chi Minh City, Mai Handicrafts was built on the belief that social develpment is intricately tied to economic self-reliance. The 300 arstians involved with Mai handicrafts are able to earn about $50 to $70 a month, when most in Vietnam are making about $20 to $30 monthly. Most of the aristans (80% of whom are women), are able to work in their homes or small workshops instead of seeking employment in Vietnam's factory industries. 6 pieces. approx. 1 1/2” h.
