A Dynamic Program for Young Professionals Focusing on Fun and Fine Living

LUMA’s young professionals group, ArtSmart, started the new year with two culturally inspiring events. On January 15, they enjoyed a field trip to Union League Club for a tour of their magnificent art collection. On February 12, LUMA hosted an ArtSmart Valentine’s party, The Key to My Heart. Guests sipped Ketel One Vodka cocktails and hand-crafted beer from Rock Bottom Brewery and enjoyed Spanish appetizers from 1492 Tapas bar.

The highly anticipated next ArtSmart event will be held on July 9, giving guests an opportunity to mingle and network at LUMA while viewing Rodin: In His Own Words—Selections from the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Foundation.

ArtSmart proceeds from the Election Night Party were used to pay for buses to bring students from Casa de Providencia to LUMA where they saw On The Same Map: Hope Is a Human Right - A Photographic Journey of Partners In Health. Located in Humboldt Park, Casa de Providencia serves immigrant and inner-city families. Its outreach programs are provided by St. Joseph Services, where families have access to after school programs for children (ages 9-14). These include English as a Second Language classes, computer labs and spirituality programs.

If you would like to receive e-mail notices about ArtSmart events, please contact luma@luc.edu and ask to be put on the
