Marjorie Craig Benton

Marjorie Craig Benton joined the LUMA Advisory Board in January 2008. Marjorie has devoted her adult life to advocacy for women, children, peace, government service and community development. She co-founded the Chicago Foundation for Women, the Women’s Issues Network, the Peace Museum and the Chicago Global Donors Network. She served as a delegate to the United Nations special sessions on disarmament in the ’70s and then as U.S. Ambassador to UNICEF. Most recently, Marjorie helped to bring Paul Farmer from Partners In Health to LUMA for the exhibition On the Same Map: Hope is a Human Right.
