- Promoting Connections in Research (Club PCR) Loyola student organization that features speakers from Loyola and outside organizations who discuss a variety of professional and academic research careers.

- *NEW WORKSHOP*: Speed Research Talks
Spring date TBA.
You’ve heard of speed dating- now try speed research! The speed research format provides an excellent chance to learn how to present your research clearly and concisely. This type of skill is important for anyone interested in presenting their research at conferences or interviewing for graduate school or jobs.
Any student currently conducting research or other independent scholarly or creative projects is welcome to attend. LUROP fellows who will be presenting at the spring symposium are strongly encouraged to participate.

Research Symposia
-- Loyola's Undergraduate Research Symposium
Still open for 2011-2012 registration:
-- Chicago Area Undergraduate Research Symposium An annual event held each spring that allows undergraduates from all fields to present their research results in a professional setting. The 2012 symposium will be held on March 3 at the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza at the Merchandise Mart.
Other: (Deadlines for this year have past but keep in mind for next academic year!)
-- -- National Conferences on Undergraduate Research Deadline to submit was November 15, 2011. The symposium will be March 29-31, 2012 at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
-- St. Albert's Day: Research Symposium at Stritch School of Medicine.
-- Council on Undergraduate Research: Posters on Hill This event gives students the opportunity to speak directly with members of Congress and representatives from federal funding agencies and private foundations about their research.
-- Argonne Undergraduate Symposium Event for undergraduates in the sciences, mathematics, and engineering.
* Please contact LUROP if you will be presenting at either NCUR or Posters on the Hill, as we may be able to assist with funding. LUROP can occasionally offer limited travel awards through a competitive application for presenting at other conferences as well. Please contact the LUROP office for details.
- Undergraduate Research Journals
Consider submitting an article about your project to a peer-reviewed undergraduate research journal for publication. The Council on Undergraduate Research has a comprehensive list of journals for projects in all disciplines. You should write your article in collaboration with your mentor, but the Undergraduate Research Program Manager is also available to read drafts

-- WebGURU The WebGURU is an interactive web-based tool intended to help undergraduates navigate the hurdles of an undergraduate research experience.
-- Graduate School Registry The purpose of the Council on Undergraduate Research's registry is to facilitate matchmaking between undergraduates with research experience and a desire to pursue an advanced degree, and graduate schools seeking high quality students who are well prepared for research.
