Personal Information

Dr. Walsh received a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame, a M.S. in Applied Probability and Statistics from Northern Illinois University, and a Ph.D. in Statistics from Northwestern University. Before joining Loyola in 2006, Dr. Walsh held Biostatistics research positions at the College of American Pathologists and was a post-doctoral fellow at Northwestern University Medical School, Department of Preventive Medicine. As part of her dissertation research, she was a Laboratory Graduate Fellow at Argonne National Laboratory in the Reactor Analysis Division. Dr. Walsh has taught at Northwestern University, National-Louis University, and Loyola University Chicago School of Business. Her publications have appeared in the Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, the New England Journal of Medicine, and the Journal of Human Hypertension. She has served as Newsletter Editor, Program Chair, President-Elect, President, and Past-President of the Northeastern Illinois Chapter of the American Statistical Association.
