About

Dr. Tong receved a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Chicago in 2004. Prior to joining Loyola University in 2007, Dr. Tong worked with Professor Elizabeth Thompson at the University of Washington, Department of Statistics, as a research associate/postdoc during 2004-2007. Dr. Tong's research interests are with statistical models and inferences for complex human diseases and quantitative traits. The areas that she is interested in and would like to explore in the future include cancer studies, disequilibrium mapping using transmission or disequilibrium tests, parametric or non-parametric linkage analysis, statistical issues in genome-wide association studies and statistical challenges arising in micro-array data.
