Loyola Health Care MBA Coursework: Designed to Meet Five Objectives

A Health Care MBA degree from Loyola University Chicago is explicitly designed to help students achieve leadership skills appropriate in a variety of settings. The rigorous coursework has been optimized to meet five vital learning objectives.

These objectives are applicable across the board and are relevant to numerous health care settings:

A Health Care MBA from Loyola University Chicago is taught within a cohort setting. Cohort groups attend all required classes together, allowing greater focus, long-lasting relationships, and provides for greater idea exchange.

Loyola University MBA Health Care Course Schedule

Because our Health Care MBA candidates are working professionals with busy schedules our course times are flexible. Courses are offered over eight 10-week quarters and rotate between Fridays and Saturdays each quarter. For two years students take two courses each quarter and graduate from the Loyola Graduate School of Business with an MBA in Health Care Management.

MBA in Health Care courses are broken down into three categories:

  • Fundamental Core: Courses include Financial Accounts for Business Decisions, Managerial Economics, Financial Management, Health Care Policy and Regulation and more
  • Advanced Leadership Core: Courses include Health Care Accounting and Finance, Health Care Economics, Conflict Management and Negotiations among others
  • Advanced Specialization: Courses such as Health Care Law, Health Care Risk Management and Capstone courses
