Part II: Brief Essay Questions
There are several ways to be a Companion for CLC in 2012-13. Please check the position(s) in which you are
interested:
CLC Small Group Companion: A Small Group Companion is responsible for leading a small group each week and attending weekly Companion Team
Meetings.
CLC Team Coordinator: In addition to the weekly CLC team meeting, the four CLC Team Coordinators work with the Chaplain and GA to
collaboratively plan Leadership opportunities to live out the pillars of CLC: Community ;
Faith ; and Mission . Such opportunities include: weekly team meetings; the Christmas Canned
Food Drive and Delivery to Kentucky; the CLC Retreat; and the CLC Day of Discernment. Please check the one(s) you might be
interested in below:
Leadership: Plans and develops leadership development opportunities at weekly team meetings for CLC Companions
Community: Forms CLC groups, maintains publicity and contact with those interested in CLC, coordinates community
building activities for all CLC participants.
Faith: Maintains spiritual development themes of the year within the life of the greater community through
workshops, retreat, and reflection.
Mission: Coordinates Christmas canned food drive, delivery to Kentucky, and Spring Day of Service.

Part IV: Small Group Christian Life Community - Loyola Companion Interview Day - Sunday, April 15, 2012
All applicants for CLC & Search Companions are required to attend a day of discernment for their interview on April 15th. The Day will begin at 9:00 a.m. and
will end at 3:30 p.m. Please wear comfortable clothes for doing community service in the afternoon.
