Protestant Ministry

Weekly Worship Opportunities

Worship is at the heart of Protestant Ministry on campus. Agape and Ecclesia are sister ministries organized by students each week. Ecclesia is an ancient Greek term meaning the Church, or those belonging to God. Ecclesia reflects the purpose of the community gathering each week: to be the body of Christ that God asks of his followers. Students develop the worship services and activities each week aiming to strengthen the connection between God and students.

Agape Ministry

Agape is a student-led ministry that meets every Wednesday night for worship and Bible study at 7:30 p.m. Students gather for prayer at the McCormick Lounge on the first floor of Coffey Hall. The night typically includes praise and worship, testimony, and games. Students also break into small groups to study and reflect on scripture. Agape students are passionate about building community and developing deeper discipleship in Jesus.

Ecclesia

Ecclesia is a student led inter-denominational worship service every Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. Students spend time together in praise and worship, a message, prayer, and celebrating communion. The last Sunday of each month students also gather for a potluck meal. Students seeking to worship God in all aspects of life are welcome to join Ecclesia at the 4th Floor of the Information Commons.
