Contemplatives in Action



University Ministry offers many different opportunities to undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and staff to develop spiritually. Our aim is to fulfill Loyola University Chicago's Mission and to carry out the vision set forth by St. Ignatius and the Society of Jesus.
Retreats
University Ministry offers several retreats for spiritual growth and development. These include the Explore! Retreats, Search Retreats, Silent Ignatian Retreat, Busy Students' Retreat, and more.
Christian Life Communities
CLC's are groups of friends who gather weekly for an hour to pray and reflect on Scriptures, Ignatian Spiritual Exercises, poetry, and share their spriritual journeys.
Collegiate 4th
The Collegiate 4th meets twice per semester to share faith journeys in an evening of retreat, reflection and community.
Pastoral Leadership Theology Minor
This minor invites students to explore and deepen their knowledge and skills for contemporary pastoral leadership.
Spiritual Direction
Students looking for spiritual direction can meet monthly with a trained director to reflect on their relationship with God
