Partners in Mission
Working together with the Jesuit Community, the Office of the Provost, and the Department of Human Resources, the Office of the Vice President - Mission and Ministry convenes Partners in Mission orientations for new faculty, staff, administrators, and trustees. The purpose of the orientations is to acquaint new members of the Loyola community and to reacquaint others with the history and goals of Jesuit higher education so that they may incorporate an understanding of the university's mission into their roles at the university.

The Jesuit and Catholic heritage of Loyola University Chicago, established at its founding in 1870, has evolved into a unique culture, as well as a living tradition that has been renewed and refocused by generations of students, faculty, staff, and administrators. This heritage is one that includes appreciation of the rich diversity of faith traditions that Loyola staff and faculty bring to Loyola. Loyola’s religious diversity is a vital part of its culture and interfaith dialogue provides new ways to “find God in all things,” as the Jesuits have done throughout their history.
