Mission Retreat on Ignatian Contemplation
May 19, 7:30pm – May 21, 6:00pm
LUREC, Woodstock, IL
Given the frenzied pace of modern life, it is increasingly rare to take the time for self-reflection and spiritual renewal. Yet, everyone needs and deserves the time to connect more deeply with their faith, their spiritual journey, and their relationship with God.
*The retreat is built on two movements. The first movement begins on Tuesday the 19th. There will be two talks focusing on the Principle and Foundation of St Ignatius’ Spiritual Exercises, time for private reflection, shared meals and ending in communal reflection. The second movement will begin with Wednesday's dinner when the retreat will enter into a full day of silence for individual prayer and reflection. Spiritual direction will be available for those who desire. Retreatants are encouraged to come to the retreat center on Tuesday evening when there will be a short session on preparing to “retreat” and then an open evening to relax in preparation for the retreat.
Cost for meals, lodging and retreat is $75. See full retreat schedule below.
*Those individuals who desire to participate in part but not all of the retreat may contact Chris Murphy (firstname.lastname@example.org) to determine what is possible.
