Cincinnati 2012

The 54th Annual Convention will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza from November 8-11, 2012. The 2012 informal convention theme is "Debt."

Possible sub-themes include:

  • economies of lack
  • states of debt

  • gift-giving
  • cultures of expenditure
  • Occupy literature
  • trans-cultural capital

Registration Fees

The registration fees for the 54th Annual Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio are as follows:

  • Regular Registration (for all full-time faculty, administrators, schoolteachers, and librarians):
    $90.00 - Before October 26th midnight

  • Special Registration (for students, independent scholars, part-time, unemployed or retired members only): $40.00 - Before October 26th midnight

 

Registration Fees are Non-Refundable.

Registering for the Convention

All attendees must be members of the association to attend the convention. The deadline for convention presenters to pre-register is Monday, June 18, 2012. Registration can be easily complete via mail or online using a third party vendor, Acteva.

IMPORTANT: Because of printing deadlines, convention presenters must register by Monday, June 18, 2012 in order to be included in the printed program.

    Registration fees and membership dues are separate items that must be purchased. This link allows you to pay them both at the same time, but they are separate line items that must be selected.

    NOTE: A convenience fee is charged when using the third-party vendor, Acteva, for online registration.

    IMPORTANT: Pre-registration for convention presenters and non-presenters will end on Monday, October 26, 2012. After October 26th, on-site registration will be necessary.

    Group Registrations

    The MMLA does not provide group registrations for departments or schools. All convention registrations are individual.

On-site Registration

On-site registration becomes effective after October 26th. Online registration and registration via the U.S mail will not be accepted. The on-site registration fees are as follows:

  • Regular Registration (for all full-time faculty, administrators, schoolteachers, and librarians):
    $140.00 - After October 26th and on-site

  • Special Registration (for students, independent scholars, part-time, unemployed or retired members only): $60.00 - After October 26th and on-site

NOTE: Special registration is for students, part-time, unemployed or retired membes only.

IMPORTANT: Any registration forms received after October 26th will not be accepted and the funds will be returned.

Credit cards will not be accepted on-site. On-site registration fees can only be paid using cash or check.
