| Extended Deadline, April 5 | Extended Deadline for receipt of all proposals for Special Sessions on the informal theme, "Art & Artifice." |
| March 15th | Acceptance notifications sent via email for Special Session proposals, individual paper proposals, and workshop proposals. |
| April 8th | Convention registration begins and hotel reservations are accepted. |
| April 16th | Special Session topics posted to the Call for Papers listing. |
| Extended Deadline, June 7th | Extended Deadline for receipt of all individual proposals on the informal theme, "Art & Artifice." |
| June 17th | Deadline for session organizers and chairs to submit the Program Information Form and all session abstracts to the M/MLA office. |
| June 17th | Deadline for convention participants to become 2013 M/MLA members and pay the 2013 convention pre-registration fee. Because of printing deadlines, participants who have not paid the required fees by June 17th will risk being deleted from the convention program. Please make sure your panelists are aware of this deadline and the online membership/pre-registration form (available on our forms page). Membership dues and the convention pre-registration fee are non-refundable. |
| August 5th | Convention schedule posted online. |
| September 9th | Convention program printed. |
| September 30th | For sessions following the traditional discussion format: Deadline for receipt of convention papers in the M/MLA office for advance distribution to convention registrants. (Paper specifications are posted on the web site.) |
| September 30th | Deadline for submission of resolutions for consideration at the 2013 M/MLA Business Session. |
| October 16th | Deadline to make hotel reservations at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center to receive the convention rate of $154.00. |
| October 18th | Deadline to complete pre-registration for convention presenters and non-presenters. After October 18th, on-site registration will be necessary. Online and registrations sent in the mail will not be accepted after October 18th. |
| November 7-10th | 55th Annual Convention at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center in Milwaukee, WI. |
| December 15th | Reports from 2013 Convention Chairs and Secretaries for Permanent Sections and Associated Organizations are due for the 2014 convention. |
