Extended Deadline, January 18, 2012 Deadline for receipt of reports for Permanent Sections and Associated Organizations.
January 23rd Call for Papers posted with Permanent Section topics.
March 5th Convention registration begins and hotel reservations are accepted.
March 9th Deadline for receipt of all proposals for Special Sessions, workshop propoals, and individual paper abstracts on the informal theme, "Debt."
March 23rd Acceptance notifications sent via email for Special Session proposals, individual paper proposals, and workshop proposals.
April 2nd Special Session topics posted to the Call for Papers listing.
June 11th Deadline for session organizers and chairs to submit the Program Information Form and all session abstracts to the M/MLA office.
June 18th Deadline for convention participants to become 2012 M/MLA members and pay the 2012 convention pre-registration fee.

Because of printing deadlines, participants who have not paid the required fees by June 18th will risk being deleted from the convention program. Please make sure your panelists are aware of this deadline and the online membership/pre-registration form (available on our forms page).

Membership dues and the convention pre-registration fee are non-refundable.
August 3rd Convention schedule posted online.
September 7th Convention program printed.
October 1st For sessions following the traditional discussion format: Deadline for receipt of convention papers in the M/MLA office for advance distribution to convention registrants. (Paper specifications are posted on the web site.)
October 1st Deadline for submission of resolutions for consideration at the 2012 M/MLA Business Session.
October 18th Deadline to make hotel reservations at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza to receive the convention rate of $145.00.
October 26th Deadline to complete pre-registration for convention presenters and non-presenters. After October 26th, on-site registration will be necessary.

Online and registrations sent in the mail will not be accepted after October 26th. Convention presenters who register after June 18th risk being deleted from the convention program.
November 8-11th 54th Annual Convention at the Hiltion Cincinnati Netherland Plaza in Cincinnati, Ohio.
December 15th Reports from 2012 Convention Chairs and Secretaries for Permanent Sections and Associated Organizations are due for the 2013 convention.
