  • Thursday, April 15: Speaker series.
    Asian-born students and American-born students with Asian ethnicity will share their experiences through discussion with Diane Lin, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist from DePaul University. Room 147, Damen Hall, 3:30-5:30 p.m.

  • Sunday, April 18: "Discover Devon" Tour.
    Tour Devon Avenue and learn about the cultural richness just minutes away from Loyola. Meet in the Centennial Forum lobby, LSC, noon.

  • Tuesday, April 20: Filipino history and language workshop.
    Learn from Filipino American students bits of their history and language. Room LL33, Centennial Forum, LSC, 4:30 p.m.

  • Wednesday, April 21: Holi Festival.
    Celebrate the Indian cultural tradition of this festival. Learn the story of "Holi." Multipurpose Room, Simpson Living-Learning Center, 8-10 p.m.

  • Friday, April 23: Speaker series.
    Madhulika Khandelwal, Ph.D., from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, will speak on the theme, "Women's Voices: Reclaiming South Asian American Identities." Room 147, Damen Hall, 3:30-5:30 p.m. Santacruzan Festival. This traditional Filipino celebration highlights the strong connection between the cross of Jesus and the Filipino people. Mass at Madonna della Strada Chapel, LSC, 5 p.m., followed by a reception in Kasbeer Hall, 25 E. Pearson building, WTC, 8 p.m.

  • Tuesday, April 27: Demonstration of Filipino culinary arts.
    Learn from Filipino American students how to prepare traditional Filipino dishes. Room LL33, Centennial Forum, LSC, 4:30-6 p.m.

  • Thursday, April 29: Speaker series.
    Sahana Dharmapuri, director of research, Center for Middle East Peace and Cooperation, Washington, D.C., will speak on the theme, "Political Voices: Consciousness Raising in the Community." Other speakers include Mona Mohib, a White House staffer, and Ann Lata Kalayil, president, Indo-American Democratic Organization, Chicago. Hussey Lounge, Damen Hall, LSC, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
