PIPES
Population-based Infection Prevention & Environmental Safety (PIPES)

The Population-based Infection Prevention & Environmental Safety (PIPES) DNP track is designed as a post-BSN entry DNP and can be completed in 75 semester hours. This program is prevention and population-focused and offers the opportunity for interdisciplinary coursework in Loyola’s MPH program as well as clinical experiences in healthcare organizations, government agencies, and community settings. Graduates will have the knowledge and skills to assume system-wide leadership as Infection Preventionists. Opportunities are also provided to prepare graduates to be expert infection prevention clinical educators, clinical faculty, consultants and/or serve as infection prevention preceptors and mentors. Students who have graduate credit beyond a BSN will have their transcripts evaluated and may be able to receive credit for previous coursework. The PIPES DNP is supported by HRSA Grant 1-D09-HP18997-01.
