Past Research:
Co-authored conceptual model of spiritual leadership, co-developed a grounded theory of Spiritual Care in Nursing Practice, and developed and psychometrically tested the tool, Spiritual Care Inventory, to measure spiritual care in nursing practice. Researched and authored both spirituality and religiosity diagnoses accepted by NANDA International and spirituality and religiosity interventions in the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC). Assisted in integrating spiritual assessment in the EPIC computerized documentation system at Loyola University Health System. Authored documentation system for parish nurses. Site liaison for NINR grant to test Nursing Outcomes Classification System (NOC) in parish nursing.
