Off-Campus Student Life

Welcome from the Director

Dear Off-Campus Students:

Whether you live at home and commute to campus, or live with friends within the University district, living off-campus can be challenging.  The Office of Off-Campus Student Life (OCSL) is here to assist you in your transition from living on-campus to off-campus or to help you stay connected to campus while living at home.  Students living off-campus are integral to creating a vibrant campus life at Loyola University Chicago.  We have designed a variety of tailored programs to help you feel a strong connection to campus and a deep sense of belonging at the University.

OCSL is here to offer advocacy, support, outreach, and guidance in matters pertaining to commuting to campus or living in the local Edgewater and Rogers Park communities.  We offer multiple resources to help students work through concerns and special circumstances.  The Loyola Experience will look different for each student; the most important thing to remember is that it is a journey - one you will take over the next four years.  During your time at Loyola, I encourage you to get involved, take pride in your ability to make a significant impact, and truly serve your campus and surrounding community by sharing your gifts, talents, and dreams.  The OCSL team is ready and willing to support you every step of the way.

I wish you well on your journey.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Moore
