City of Chicago
With 77 distinct neighborhoods, Chicago is described as a multicultural city and has something to offer everyone. Below you can find descriptions of just a few of the favorite neighborhoods of Loyola students:
- Wrigleyville, home to Wrigley Field (where the Chicago Cubs play!)
- The Loop is Chicago’s official downtown area where you can find Millennium Park, the Art Institute of Chicago and the “Magnificent Mile”
- Chinatown which is one of the largest Chinese neighborhoods in the United States and has plenty of Chinese restaurants, boutiques and Chinese architecture
- Roger’s Park neighborhood, home to Loyola University Chicago! This is the most diverse neighborhood in Chicago and its residents represent about 80 different countries. Close proximity to the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan and the variety of coffee shops and local restaurants create a rich atmosphere for college students.
