Technology Check
In order to participate in an online course at Loyola University Chicago, we have identified a few hardware and software requirements that will ensure a positive experience for you in the online environment.
To make this process as streamlined as possible, we recommend that you run our interactive "Technology Check" tool on any computer that you will be using for your online class. This tool will evaluate your computer and determine any areas that do not meet our minimum system requirements. We will be evaluating the following in your environment:
- Internet Browser
- Operating System
- Internet Bandwidth Speed
- Wired or Wireless Connection
- Flash Player Version
- Java Version
You might be required to have a Webcam and Mic for the purposes of synchronous classrooms and online exams. If any one area of our checks identifies an area that does not meet Loyola's minimum requirements, we will provide you helpful instructions and recommendations for how to meet them.
