The areas of Wrighwood, Parkview, and Ashburn Estates are all part of the neighborhood known as Ashburn. It's borders are 75th Street, Kedzie Avenue, 87th Street and Pulaski Road.

Single-family homes fill the area and sell in the range of $250,000. Townhouses and condominiums sold for an average of $65,000 in 2000.

The area is accessible through the CTA buses as well as the Metra South West Line.

"The area is economically stable, with a negligible foreclosure rate," Alderman Thomas Murphy says. "We have two bank branches, a large grocery chain located in our main shopping center and over 200 local businesses in the community."
