Abigail Ries - Special Events

Biography:
Abigail Ries (Abby) joined Advocate in the spring of 2006 during her Junior year at Loyola. Abby filled the vacancy of the Special Events Chair. She was pivotal in the fundraising during Hate Crime Awareness Week. She joined Adam, Max, and Travis (former Safe Space Chair) in attending the 3rd Annual GLBTQ Conference for Jesuit Colleges and Universities. She has continued in her position and will remain until the 2007 Elections.

Highlights of Service:

• Fundraising for Hate Crime Awareness Week in the Spring of 2006
• Director of the 2007 Ignite Conference
• Brought more female members to Advocate by showing a strong female presence
