GLBTQ Awareness Week (Fall 2005)

Purpose
GLBTQA Awareness Week is centered around the National Coming Out Day on October 11th every year. It has been established to bring the GLBTQA community into the mainstream Loyola community and let people see what the culture is really like.

The goals of the week are to:

  • Provide the Loyola community with an understanding of the discrimination underrepresented by the GLBTQ community.
  • Educate the Loyola community on GLBTQ issues.
  • Provide a safe and supporting environment for people of all groups to discuss and interact with each other.
